These rumored actresses suggest that Cyclone will be a different take than is traditionally seen in the Justice Society of America comics. Maxine Hunkel seems to have been racebended to a Latinx character, which falls in line with changes seen to Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman and the rumored transgender character Ma Hunkel.
Though she is the younger of the two prospective actresses, Isabela Moner has already had a fair share of experience working in big Hollywood blockbusters, having already headlined
Transformers: The Last Knight

Dora and the Lost City of Gold
. Having this under her belt may put her over the edge of Grace, as she has already proven that she has the staying power to lead a film and can hold her own alongside big names like Mark Wahlberg. Her filmography also demonstrates the range that Moner possesses, able to contribute to action scenes whilst still having the ability to play an emotional scene.
Leslie Grace would be a complete newcomer to the film industry should she land this role.
