directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared an 11-second video celebrating Chris Evans’ last day on the film’s set. This also marked the end of an era in the MCU, as it was Evans’ last day ever playing Captain America.

due to three separate rejections to play Captain America, but once he signed on, he became the embodiment of Steve Rogers in a heartbeat.

, Evans’s Steve Rogers passed on both the title and shield of Captain America to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson.
