Marvel Studios may be taking a break for a few weeks in terms of in-universe content, but

there is no slowing down for multiple production teams

as Phase 4 continues to expand. Almost all the MCU entries for 2021 are either completely finished or nearing completion, while multiple entries releasing in 2022 still have plenty of work left to do.

Currently, the news stream for the MCU is filled with a wide variety of excitement from all across the franchise. Most recently, this includes

the announcement for a fourth

Captain America

movie

alongside

More Disney+ news just arrived as well, giving an update on when another highly-anticipated show will kick into gear.

TIMETABLE FOR IRONHEART

Aaron Couch of The Hollywood Reporter has revealed via Twitter that Marvel Studios’

Ironheart

is set to be six episodes long when it premieres on Disney+. This is less than the nine episodes of

WandaVision’s

first season yet on-par with

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

and

Loki

’s episode counts.

Couch also shared that the series’ writer’s room will begin forming next month.

This comes in response to

the recent report that the Iron Man spin-off series has found a lead writer

A NEW SIX-EPISODE DISNEY+ ADVENTURE

As Phase 4 continues to turn on more cameras for shooting on another series, fans should be thrilled that the MCU is firmly starting another new project coming next year. There are currently very few details known about the series other than Dominique Thorne’s casting as Riri Williams, but the hope is that this will change as production inches closer to its start date.

Additionally, it seems that this show will be more in line with its MCU counterparts in terms of episode count.

WandaVision

spoiled MCU fans worldwide

with an eight-week, nine-episode run to start this new era of storytelling, and

What If…?

will be a change of pace with ten entries

. Outside of these two series, the standard episode count seems to be set at six right now, which was the case for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

In the same way that

Anthony Mackie’s series continued the legacy of Captain America

, Dominique Thorne’s will move forward in the footsteps of Robert Downey, Jr.’s Iron Man. It will be interesting to find out more story details, especially with fans wondering

if it will connect with Don Cheadle’s

Armor Wars

as well.

No matter the case,

Ironheart

will be yet another expansion for the MCU as the series introduces an exciting and brilliant new hero into the mix.

With Chinaka Hodge set to serve as the show’s head writer

, the hype is slowly growing for Riri Williams to find her way alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Ironheart

is set to release in 2022.
