Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
, fans (and Campbell himself) have been speculating whether or no the venerable character actor will make an appearance.

In a
new interview with Diabolique Magazine
, Campbell had this to say on the progress of Marvel Studios and the new
Doctor Strange
film when questioned about the status of the sequel and his own involvement in it:
For
Dr. Strange
, everyone is at the mercy of what Marvel is going to do and this backlog of movies they’re going to do now. So, I think [production] won’t be until 2021. Marvel has to figure this all out. They have to figure out what movies they are going to do next, what movies they are going to delay, what movies they are going to shit can, what movies they are going to advance and speed up…the marketplace is ever fluid.
WHAT THIS MEANS
While it’s certainly far and away from any sort of confirmation that Campbell would show up in
Multiverse of Madness
, the way he speaks here definitely makes it seem like he’s involved in some capacity or, at the very least, has had some talks with the team at Marvel Studios.
It’s also possible that he was merely making some broad assumptions about the inner workings over at Marvel based on his own experiences in the film industry, but the fact that he mentions that he doesn’t think that the film’s production will start until 2021 seems to let on to something.

Whatever the case may be, due to COVID-19 induced delays,
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
won’t be hitting theaters until March of 2022, but fans probably won’t need to wait that long to discover the nature of Bruce Campbell’s involvement.
