Wonder Woman 1984 is now available to stream on HBO Max, kicking off discussions worldwide about how the DCEU’s overarching story is progressing.

Thanks to WW84’s successes only two days after its release to the DCEU fandom, Warner Bros. has stated that they’re officially continuing the story with Wonder Woman 3. This includes Patty Jenkins coming back to complete her trilogy after her relationship with Warner Bros. seemed to be teetering in recent weeks.

The success of Wonder Woman 1984’s release is well-earned, especially considering the numerous delays that the film incurred throughout 2020. Quite fittingly, it’s bringing nostalgia into play, as the franchise’s leading woman is throwing it back to an early moment for her DC character.

In a new post on her Twitter account, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot posted an older photo of herself from one of her first costume fittings for her DC role. Gadot doesn’t reveal a specific timeframe in which the photo was taken, although it was likely early on in production for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sometime in 2014.

Gadot shares:

Found this little reminder from one of my first fittings… Seems like ages ago but at the same time like it was just yesterday, you know the feeling?

Gadot stood out as one of the highlights of her first DCEU film, which garnered widely varying reactions from fans as a whole. Wonder Woman came out over a year later and became an instant hit, earning some of the highest ratings for a DC superhero movie and succeeding at the box office with over $820 million in revenue.
