The Snyder Cut has held its place as one of the DCEU’s biggest mysteries after the theatrical cut of
Justice League
was released to mixed to negative reception.
Spring 2020 came with the official confirmation that DC Extended Universe regular Zack Snyder would have the opportunity to complete his vision for
his 2017 team-up movie,
Justice League
. Snyder has spent the year putting all of his energy into bringing this anticipated project to life.

Due to the vastly different directing and writing styles
from Snyder and his replacement Joss Whedon
, the theatrical cut left a substantial amount of Snyder’s material on the cutting room floor and brought a movie that many DCEU fans would consider convoluted. Snyder is hoping to resolve many of these issues when the Snyder Cut releases next year, particularly by doubling the screen time to make the movie a four-hour epic.

in some capacity, and recent news details an encounter that helped him earn an actress’ blessing to bring the Snyder Cut to life.

Wonder Woman
star Connie Nielsen spoke on how
Justice League
director Zack Snyder contacted her to ask if it was alright to release a new version of the film.
Nielsen expanded on how she gave Snyder her blessing to complete the Snyder Cut of
Justice League
with her stunts from the original shoot included:
“Well, I have this thing where I can’t lie. (
Laughs
.) So I don’t know the timing of one or the other, but Zack had already called me to ask if I would be okay with a reissue of the film with changes.”

Queen Hippolyta’s stunts should come in handy as the villainous Steppenwolf first arrives on Earth, and Nielsen’s action sequence should be a thrilling addition to watch out for.
The Snyder Cut of

will release on HBO Max in March 2021.
