has acquired a photo of a muscle car. Specifically, a 70’s Buick Gran Sports car parked just around the corner where filming was taking place on Wednesday.

Edward Baker, the man who took the photo, also mentioned to Murphy that he overheard crew members
“discussing how they had hoped to procure a more comic-accurate 70’s era Challenger, but ended up with this GS.”

WHAT THIS MEANS
While it isn’t definitive, the presence of such a similar-looking muscle car, as seen in Matt Fraction’s
Hawkeye
run, and crew members even sounding disappointed that they weren’t closer to replicating the look of the car from the comic more accurately, points to this series adapting one of the most fun action set-pieces from the comic run.
The set-piece in question is from issue #3 of Matt Fraction’s
Hawkeye
, in which Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, with a woman named Penny tied up in the backseat of this muscle car, are all being chased by members of the Tracksuit Mafia through dozens of streets and ending on a bridge.
What makes this set-piece most exciting is the setup. Before Clint and Kate are caught up in another confusing mess, Bishop attempts to help Barton organize his many gimmicky arrows, which he has neglected to organize. Bishop ends up mocking many of them, including the “boomerang arrow.”

As they’re driving for their lives, all they have to defend themselves are the dozens upon dozens of disorganized gimmick arrows that Clint still hadn’t labeled in any way. So, the chase consists of Clint attempting to take out multiple cars as Kate attempts to hand him useful arrows appropriate for the situation or shot. So, it would be exhilarating if they actually adapted this action scene from the comic, which was one of the biggest highlights of the run and ended on a fantastic punchline.
