What makes the situation even more baffling is that the scene itself was actually filmed,
with Wayne T. Carr being unveiled as the actor
who would have played John Stewart. Cyborg actor Ray Fisher had introduced the actor to Zack Snyder, who
then brought Carr aboard to film the scene
on a makeshift set in the director’s own driveway.

actor Wayne T. Carr shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself dressed up in a mo-cap suit.

The Snyder Cut already included two Green Lanterns from the DC mythos, those being
Kilowog
and
Yalan Gur
. Bringing in Wayne T. Carr’s John Stewart to the fold would have upped the Lantern representation significantly, solidifying another champion of Earth to join the ranks of the Justice League.

While Carr’s filming was previously discussed by himself and Zack Snyder, this is the first time that fans have seen the actor on set. It is ultimately a shame the actor was omitted from
