As February draws to a close, the long-awaited debut of
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
draws nearer with less than three weeks until its arrival on HBO Max.
The past year has brought more than a handful of teases
and behind-the-scenes stories from director Zack Snyder and his team, hinting at what will come in this massively-hyped release.
Mere days ago,
the cut was confirmed to be just over four hours long
, giving viewers about twice the amount of story that came in the original theatrical cut from 2017. Included in all of this madness will be additions to certain characters’ storylines as told through Snyder’s vision, as well as people
not seen in director Joss Whedon’s cut such as Jared Leto’s Joker
.

A new tease for the film has just arrived, giving a look at some major CGI work going into the Snyder Cut.
ZACK SNYDER RELEASES TWO-MINUTE SNYDER CUT VIDEO
During the IGN Fan Fest,
Justice League
director Zack Snyder debuted a fully CGI clip of his work on
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
, which could possibly be included in the film’s opening or closing credits. The sequence is set to the song “Time” by Tom Waits.
The scene is described as follows:

Called “The Mother Box Origins” and set to the Tom Waits song “Time,” the CG sequence shows the heroes that make up the titular Justice League – Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Batman (Ben Affleck), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) – depicted on the sides of the Mother Boxes in the style of classical reliefs and sculptures. And, as Snyder teased during his IGN Fan Fest panel, the video is loaded with DC Easter eggs.
“I doodled all those. There’s a million Easter eggs in it, and if you go look there’s storylines that I had been working on that if the film had been continued or if you look at the past histories, there’s a bunch of little details in there for everybody,” he teased. “It’s really worth taking a long slow look at because it’s really fun, and I think for fans it’s really a treat.”

SNYDER USING CGI TO SHOW OFF THE JUSTICE LEAGUE
This seems to use the same format to show off all of the central characters of the Snyder Cut
that was used in the picture Snyder released yesterday of Superman
. That image showed his journey through the two movies in which he’s starred in the DCEU, and this new video appears to give the rest of the team that same treatment.
Events in the DCEU like the death of Bruce Wayne’s parents are immortalized into stone while other starring heroes like Ezra Miller’s Flash and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman are shown off in their stone-colored glory as well. While no new footage, or even story details, come in this sneak peek, it’s surely an interesting way to show some new imagery of four of the team’s core heroes.

As mentioned before, this looks like a clip that may run in either the opening or closing credits of
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
. It remains to be seen if it will make the final cut, but with nearly four hour and two minutes of available screen time, there’s surely a chance for it to be there.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
will release on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
