, but that’s far from the only major event this year for Warner Bros.
Director Zack Snyder is about two months away from bringing
the long-awaited release of the Snyder Cut of
Justice League
, which has been in the works on-and-off since the original movie debuted in 2017. With close to double the screen time of the theatrical release, Snyder will have the opportunity to not only expand on the story for the core heroes, but also
to add classic DCEU characters from other movies
in his HBO Max debut.

One of these new entries will be Jared Leto’s Joker,
who has only enjoyed about ten minutes of action
in the DCEU thus far in 2016’s
Suicide Squad
. Despite his lack of screen time, Leto has been quite vocal about his support for the long-time franchise mainstay.

director Zack Snyder is
“relentlessly committed to his actors and his vision.”
Leto heaped praise upon Snyder and expressed how lucky he feels to be a part of this journey:
“I love Zack Snyder and, from the early days and onward, he’s a maverick, ruthlessly committed to his actors and his vision. I’m excited to see where he takes this. I really just think so highly of him and it’s a whirlwind being part of these things. First of all, you’re lucky to ever step into these shoes, or suits, or spandex, or whatever it is that you have. It’s really fun to reinvent and explore, that’s a really fun challenge that I like a lot.”

has been the talk of the DC community since it was finally given the production green light last summer. Consdiering the stories that continue to come out about how former director Joss Whedon’s mismanagement of the film and its production, Warner Bros. giving the go-ahead on the “Snyder Cut” really gave fans something to be excited about.
It’s unknown whether Leto was art of Snyder’s original plan for the film, but he has held back nothing when speaking of
his joy and excitement to be a included in the Snyder Cut
. This will be the first continuation of Joker’s story since he rescued Harley Quinn from prison at the end of
Suicide Squad
, and Leto appears ready for his return.
