It’s been a while since fans have seen the unlikely hero of
Avengers: Endgame
. The last time viewers saw Scott Lang, he was having his happy ending having been reunited with Hope van Dyne and Cassie Lang. Since then, there hasn’t been a single mention of the MCU’s size-shifting duo.
This may be something that is not much of a surprise, given there was little room in
WandaVision
or
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
for either Lang or Hope to play a role. There have been talks, however, about what the two’s next outing will entail. These rumors have only been
fueled by the surprise casting of Kang the Conqueror
.

During the Disney Investors Day event,
the third
Ant-Man
film received the title of
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
.
While it doesn’t give many signs as to what the film could entail past the titular duo’s usual shape-shifting shenanigans, fans still didn’t know when they could expect it to show up in theaters.
Now, Marvel has finally revealed when the
Ant-Man
threequel will be seen by the world…
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP RETURN TO THE MCU

ANT-MAN THREEQUEL BRINGING MAJOR PLAYERS TO MARVEL STUDIOS
It looks like fans will have to wait just under two years to not only see Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne once again but also to see Kang the Conqueror brought to life. The possibilities of what the third film could bring to fans are endless; the Quantum Realm seems to have limitless potential when it comes to storytelling devices.
Fans will also get to know a whole new Cassie in the upcoming film. She will not only be an older iteration of the character but also played by an entirely different actress as well—someone who isn’t Emma Fuhrmann. Instead,
the role will be embodied by new actress Kathryn Newton
.

No doubt about it, the switch seems unprecedented, and in fact, Fuhrmann learned about it alongside fans—something that, if true, is definitely an unusual move by Marvel Studios.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
will release in theaters on February 17, 2023.
