X-Men
and

Last October, Disney+ included
a new collection labeled “Marvel Legacy,”
which included films not produced by Marvel Studios. The collection at the time contained
X-Men, X2: X-Men United, Fantastic Four
(2005)
, The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Fantastic Four
(2015), and
X-Men: Apocalypse
, but it will receive two more additions next month.
THE FANTASTIC FOUR AND X-MEN LEGACIES
According to
CNET
,
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
will be included on Disney+ on May 7 with
X-Men: The Last Stand
being added the following week on May 14.
STILL INCOMPLETE DISNEY+ COLLECTION
There are still quite a few films missing from this “Marvel Legacy” collection that should be included, at least, in the U.S. Films like
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
,
The Wolverine
,
X-Men: First Class
, and
Dark Phoenix
are still not on the roster. Other films like
Daredevil
and
Elektra
have also not been included yet, which is in itself interesting.
It’s hard to imagine that either film is still tied up in any other existing streaming licenses that would prevent them from being added to Disney+. Perhaps Disney doesn’t see any necessity in adding them, especially since both films were poorly received from fans and critics at the time of their release and today.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to eventually have a full library of films to compare once Marvel Studios begins to adapt these characters,
and fans see how different they end up being
.
