The Marvel Cinematic Universe is back to its usual spot at the top of the entertainment industry as

Marvel Studios kicks off Phase 4 on Disney+ with

WandaVision

. This will continue through the rest of 2021 with a new piece of content arriving nearly every week of the year, and the case will be the same in 2022 as well.

While fans are getting a look into the lives of two starring characters with a lot of history in the MCU, many 2021 movies and Disney+ shows will bring the introductions for characters never before seen in the Marvel world. Included in this bunch is one of the saga’s newest and youngest stars, as

newcomer Iman Vellani takes on the role of Kamala Khan in

Ms. Marvel

.

In early September 2020, The Direct exclusively revealed that

Bad Boys For Life

directing duo Billal Fallah and Adil El Arbi

would lead the way on at least one episode of Vellani’s solo series.

After this report was confirmed by Marvel CCO Kevin Feige at Disney Investor Day, the news was set even further into stone by half of this duo on social media.

FALLAH BEGINS HIS JOURNEY WITH MARVEL STUDIOS

Even with The Direct’s exclusive report and Kevin Feige’s confirmation of this hire, it’s still exciting to see this kind of image coming straight from the source.

Fallah and his directing partner, Adil El Arbi,

had been rumored to be in discussions with both DC and Marvel

to direct one of the studios’ upcoming projects for some time in 2020. As they team up with Marvel Studios for their first time, both seem to be quite enthusiastic about bringing one of the youngest new Avengers to life in her own Disney+ show.

Along with their roles as directors, El Arbi and Fallah are serving as executive producers for

Ms. Marvel

, which should give them even more control and input for how everything makes its way to the screen. Their resumes undoubtedly set them up for success with the MCU, and

fans are already looking forward to seeing their finished product

later in the year.
