throwback post on Instagram
, Marvel Studios stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave shared a new behind-the-scenes video detailing some fun stunt and wire work from the set of
Avengers: Infinity War
. The footage is from the very first Earth-based fight scene featuring Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian taking on the likes of Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Wong, and Bruce Banner.

In the video below, we see Banner actor Mark Ruffalo being dropped from about 15 feet in the air before he lands on his back and avoids what turns out to be half of a taxi cab added in post-production:

Ruffalo is clearly an excellent sport by doing some of his own stunt work, being hoisted up so far in the air on wire and dropping like a rock onto the ground. He even gives out one of his classic Banner screams, which might not have even been acting, perfectly executing the stunt during one of the first epic battles of the movie.
While Banner’s enormous green rage monster counterpart
didn’t have much to do in
Avengers: Infinity War
, Bruce did get plenty of fun moments in scenes like this and his scenes in the Hulkbuster armor. The biggest surprise of this clip may also be that it wasn’t released before now considering how loose-lipped Mark Ruffalo has been in the past about Marvel secrets. Clearly it wasn’t on his own phone, but it’s exciting nonetheless to see
such a fun look at the film
being made.
