Over the last few years, since the agreement between Sony and Marvel Studios to let Spider-Man enter the MCU, there have been constant questions and theories about if and when there would be any sort of crossover between the two studios and the franchises they own. While Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has been contained in the MCU thus far with no connections to the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters (SUMC), there have been slight signs that something could happen in this regard in the future....

Disney’s Investor Day brought a lot of excitement to Marvel fans, announcing some unexpected new projects and shedding some light on pre-existing ones. Several Disney+ shows got casting confirmations, including the fact that Tatiana Maslany would indeed be portraying She-Hulk in the series. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was also confirmed to be connected to the upcoming Spider-Man 3 and also revealed that Xochitl Gomez will be playing America Chavez....

Very little is known about the Shazam! sequel, although several key individuals are set to be returning for the project including writer Henry Gayden and director David F. Sandberg. The film was also delayed from its initial release date to November 4, 2022. It is unknown how or even if the film will link up with DC’s Black Adam , which is expected to begin filming sometime in August or September of this year and will mark the first appearance of Shazam’s arch-nemesis in the DCEU....

Disney is definitely expanding on its plans for Star Wars now that the sequel film trilogy is out of the way. Following the success of The Mandalorian on Disney+, the studio has already put in motion live action prequel series for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Rogue One’s Cassian Andor, as well as a new animated series focused on The Bad Batch. It’s looking likely that Disney is wanting to take a shared universe approach to Star Wars, similar to what it achieved with the Marvel Cinematic Universe....
