After a successful Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding not just on the big screen, but also on the streaming side through Disney+. The mega superhero franchise introduced a plethora of shows during 2021 that gave the spotlight to side characters like Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. WandaVision officially launched the small screen branch of the MCU when it premiered last January. Created by Jac Schaeffer, the series revolves around the post-Avengers: Endgame adventures of Wanda Maximoff and the newly-resurrected Vision, as they end up in a sitcom-inspired world in Westview, New Jersey....

While the pandemic isn’t quite done yet, the world is starting to get things rolling again. From normal everyday life routines to productions starting back up—the world is making progress. The combination of an ongoing pandemic, a recession, and the drawing of attention to continued police brutality has reinforced the realization that systemic inequality is ever-present, and its repercussions reach far and wide. These factors highlight the disparity evident in our world today and holding those rightfully accountable. The entertainment industry is no exception, and the same goes for its prominent studios. DC Entertainment and its parent company Warner Bros. have both made controversial decisions as of late in regards to their response (or lack there of) to a few of their cast members’ involvement in troubling allegations....

Disney is no stranger to the Emmy Awards. The studio’s The Mandalorian walked away with five awards at last year’s ceremony, so it’s only natural that the studio wants to repeat this feat with its new Marvel Studios shows. Sony and PlayStation have strengthened tremendously in recent months following the highly successful release of the PlayStation 5 console. The next-generation system has flown off the shelves with fans all across the world desperate to get their hands on the newest piece of kit from the developer. The PS5 offers a number of improvements to its predecessor, including the introduction of solid-state drive storage, 120hz capabilities, and 8K output potentials. These impressive features have meant a spike in demand for the kit, with stock set to remain low for the time being....
