Ahsoka Tano

Bo-Katan Kryze
have made appearances, along with
familiar ships and items from other Star Wars media
. One of the most exciting occurred in “The Marshal” where fan-favorite and original Mandalorian
Boba Fett
made a brief appearance before the credits rolled.
It was in Chapter 14, titled “The Tragedy,” that Boba Fett and his iconic ship
Slave I
officially returned, and audiences finally learned more about his father Jango Fett. But since this is
The Mandalorian
after all, the Fett family content didn’t stop there. In Chapter 15, fans enjoyed another familiar callback to Jango Fett courtesy of Boba.

Star Wars is known for its unique weaponry and iconic catalog of sounds. Jango’s use of seismic charges on screen wowed fans back in 2002, and the scene coupled with that weapon’s signature sound quickly became a fan-favorite moment from the film.

’s tradition of bringing back familiar Star Wars content in a way that not only excites fans, but also serves the overall story.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Apart from the Original Trilogy, fan reception for both the Star Wars Prequels and Disney’s Sequel Trilogy has been mixed and often criticized for its storytelling, lack of cohesiveness, and even plot holes.
The Mandalorian
, which has seemingly united the fan base once again, has been bold in bringing in elements from all three trilogies and may intentionally even be trying to lend credibility to past Star Wars projects.

While this strategy may be of concern to some, so far
The Mandalorian
has only improved throughout Season 2; the series’ willingness to answer fan questions and its use of
Star Wars Easter Eggs
is quickly becoming one of its trademarks.
In addition, Boba Fett doesn’t seem to be going anywhere until Grogu is saved from Moff Gideon. Perhaps even more references to his and his father’s history will be explored in the season’s final episode.
