. Chow directed chapters three and seven of Star Wars’ Disney+ debut show

Along with Chow’s continuation of Star Wars story telling, actors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen are set to reprise their roles in the series as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader, respectively. McGregor has already confirmed that the show will utilize “The Volume” technology from
The Mandalorian,
a new report gives fans even more insight into how the

Chung most recently was the director of photography on Tom Holland’s
Uncharted
film, set to release on Feburary 11, 2022. Chung is also known for winning the Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Cinematography for his work on

he Handmaiden.
Other credits come as the cinematographer of
Hotel Artemis
, 2017’s

Zombieland: Double Tap
, and upcoming
Last Night in Soho.

The South Korean cinematographer has an impressive catalog of films and has only been increasing his workload as time has gone on. Sony’s upcoming
Uncharted
was just recently pushed back to 2022, and all indications point to the studio wanting to find a better spot for the film to succeed monetary. This is particularly the case considering how crowded the later half of 2021 is becoming for film releases.

Chung getting the opportunity to film such a high-budget film with stars like Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg holds a lot of weight. Similarly, the upcoming

series is the first time fan will see McGregor and Christensen back in a Galaxy Far, Far Away since 2005. Lucasfilm officially called this show a
“special event series”
at Disney’s 2020 Investor Day Meeting, pointing to just one season.
Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said
“This will be the rematch of the century”
between Vader and Kenobi. Fans can expect plenty of action during this event series and with Chung at the helm of filming action-adventure
