STAR WARS X FORTNITE CONTINUES

The number of crossovers present within

Fortnite

right now is staggering, with a number of high-profile characters and franchises being featured within the game in some way. Long gone are the days of emotes and skins designed purely from scratch; pop-culture is now the focus of the game. It’s rare to go into a game without recognizing at least one feature from another entertainment piece.

The refresh of the game in October of last year, branding the beginning of ‘Chapter 2’, has given

Fortnite

a new feel to it, changing the iconic map and introducing a number of new features. The success of the game’s ‘Creative Mode’ has also been evident, with players able to easily create and play user-generated maps as they please. Following its burst onto the scene a few years ago,

Fortnite

has continued to innovate and adapt.

Time will tell whether these huge crossover events will continue into the next season, with The Mandalorian taking a heavy focus in Season 5’s Battle Pass rewards. Epic seems to have formed a working relationship with Disney and Lucasfilms up to now, so we could see some other iconic characters in the future. Indiana Jones?
