, Pedro Pascal confirmed that Ant-Man’s Peyton Reed will be directing the final episode, “Chapter 16,” of
The Mandalorian
Season 2. The final episode will still be written by show creator Jon Favreau though.

Pascal had nothing but praise for Reed, in addition to all of the other directors he has managed to work with, saying he has
“been around some pretty talented human beings.”

The Mandalorian
, being responsible for “Chapter 10 - The Passenger” earlier in the second season. Many fans agreed that “Chapter 10” was light on story content, though the quality of direction matched all the other episodes of the season.
Reed will also be the only person to double dip on directing duties this season, demonstrating that Jon Favreau and his team have a lot of faith in his creative abilities. It will be exciting to see what Peyton Reed does when he has a bit more narrative to play around with.
