This does not definitively mean that Goldblum has joined the cast of
Thor: Love and Thunder
as the Grandmaster as there are currently a number of big movies filming in Australia, but the actor doesn’t seem to have any other projects lined up to warrant him being there.

The last time fans saw Goldblum’s Grandmaster was in the post-credit scene for
Thor: Ragnarok
as he attempted to talk down an angry mob and declared their revolution a “tie.” More dedicated fans will know that Goldblum also starred in a short titled
Team Darryl
, which was included on the Blu-ray for
Thor: Ragnarok
.
In that comedic short, the Grandmaster claimed that he was exiled from Sakaar after they overthrew him, so that might just be the same in
Thor: Love and Thunder
. Of course, minus having been a roommate with a human named Darryl on Earth. Although considering Waititi’s brand of humor, it wouldn’t be a surprise if that actually happened, too.
