to start early next year, but

suggests that some of the cast are already in Australia to join Waititi for some early work for the film. And now, a new post from the film’s lead star may shed some light on the production timeline of the next MCU installment.

“terrific first script meeting”
for
Thor: Love and Thunder
with the film’s writer and director, Taika Waititi. The post clearly indicates that this is a joke on Hemsworth’s part, but it does hint that the team behind
Love and Thunder
is heading into pre-production.

WHAT THIS MEANS
While Hemsworth’s tease about the “script meeting” doesn’t mean much, it still provided a glimpse of the strong bond between him and Waititi as well as the humorous side of the actor. On top of that, given that the film is about to shoot early next year, it would make sense for pre-production to start sometime soon, and it’s clear that Hemsworth and Waititi are potentially gearing up for that imminent go ahead.
Hemsworth
previously teased
that a different version of Thor will be utilized for
Love and Thunder
, and it will be interesting to see how the film will flesh out the character even more. More so, Waititi’s take on the Thor character during
Thor: Ragnarok
clearly reinvented the Avenger in surprising ways by adapting new shades of humor, and it will be exciting to see how the director will elevate the character further during the next installment.
Love and Thunder’s
release date
has already been pushed back
to February 11, 2022, and the current production timeline of the film bodes well for its eventual release. Whatever the case, there is no doubt that
