Back when the Marvel Cinematic Universe started, people never could have guessed where it would be now. Even more so, who could have predicted that someone like Scott Lang’s Ant-Man would be the sole man responsible for saving half of the universe? The answer is, once again, no one.

Given Scott’s key role in

Avengers: Endgame

, there is notably more excitement for his next adventure in

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

This journey is one that will not only will see his daughter in a more prominent superhero

role but also

introduce another one of Marvel’s biggest bad guys: Kang the Conqueror

.

The introduction of Kang is a big deal. With all the time travel shenanigans going on in

Avengers: Endgame

, it’s no surprise that Kang is next up. As Tony said, when you mess with time, it tends to mess back.

It would seem, however, that fans aren’t the only ones excited for Kang’s introduction.

WILL ANT-MAN THREEQUEL KEEP ITS COMPOSER?

Marvel

In an interview with

Spitfire Audio

, Christophe Beck– the composer of both the

Ant-Man

films as well as

WandaVision

–was asked about his potential return for the third entry in the Paul Rudd-led franchise. Beck said that he has

“every expectation”

to come back:

“I really hope to be back, I have a great relationship with Peyton Reed the director of the first two and the third movie. I have every expectation that I will be scoring the third one.

Beck then elaborated on what would excite him the most if he did return to score

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

:

“With the addition of a character like Kang…if I do get to do that, I’ll consider that a privilege and responsibility to set the tone for that character.”

EXCITEMENT FOR KANG

Having Christophe Beck back would be an absolute win. While his work doesn’t necessarily reach the same heights as Alan Silvestri, he still brings some great stuff to the table. The Ant-Man films aren’t the only MCU projects that Beck has worked on, as he also scored the recent

WandaVision

Disney+ show.

Beck’s music showcases great fun and whimsical undertones to the musical track. See tracks from

Ant-Man & The Wasp

such as “World’s Greatest Grandma” or “Feds” as proof. Even more than that, Beck is just as good at providing engaging scores for the action scenes in the

Ant-Man

films as well.

The best part of the interview is Beck’s excitement about Kang’s introduction–something only made better by the fact that it wasn’t brought up by the interviewer. The fact that he already has a passion for this huge character that is set to make his introduction great.

One can only assume Kang’s role in the MCU will only just be beginning

once the credits roll for

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

.

But, imagine having a fantastic key score for Kang himself, one that can be played on and evolved in all of his subsequent appearances. When someone has a passion for their work, it’s always best to let them pour that love into their art.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

is set to hit theaters in the next few years.
