The stylistic choices of the project have been a huge part of the marketing for the film as many of the stills released have been showcased in a classic black-and-white fashion. Meanwhile, all the trailers are shown in a much more old-fashioned square aspect ratio that the movie itself will be shown in when it drops on HBO Max next month.

Snyder has made it clear these choices are a big part of how the director originally envisioned the film to be back in 2017. However, the director sadly had to leave his vision behind just a few months before release as he departed the film following the death of his daughter.

Now that Snyder has returned to the film, he has proven his fondness to create the film he originally intended to, even forgoing a salary for it. As the release draws closer, yet another batch of images has surfaced on social media that continues to show off more of the film’s heroes.

Jared Leto will be reprising his role as the Joker

from

Suicide Squad

for the sequence, marking the actor’s second live-action appearance in the role. Ben Affleck’s Batman has yet to have much interaction with the Joker in the DCEU so it will be interesting to finally see the relationship between the two.

The recently released trailer also suggested the same scene will involve Cyborg in some capacity as the character can be seen in the background, likely suggesting this new shot comes from around the same point in the film.
